Agreed, it does appear to be a Classic, however, the sidebar in a classic usually has the springs between legs 2&3 and legs 4&5 whereas the sidebar in the Biaxials have the springs between legs 1&2 and legs 5&6 like the one in the pics. I find this interesting because just this past week I picked and gutted the core that came in my S&G 831-B (this was the first time I have gutted this core as I haven't picked it since I first opened my lock) and not only did it have a sidebar like the ones that are usually found in the biaxials, but the flags on the key pins are 180 degrees from the sidebar gates.... Could this mean that my S&G core is biaxial? I thought all the S&G 831 cores were Classic.
