Multi Tool

What is the best multi tool for computer engineers and lock gurus? I'm referring to Leatherman's Multi-tool. Any thoughts? I heard some exclaim the Core, others said the Charge.

Re: Multi Tool
I use two - the original Leatherman and also the Leatherman Crunch. I like the Crunch because instead of needle nose pliers - it has a vise-grip appendage.
You can put a kung-fu death grip on something and it will HOLD!

That crunch is really cool, I have never seen all these other styles you talk about, I really need to get out more! Or have money!
I have been in the souls of many women, but I always end up on the soles of there shoes.
Re: Multi Tool
Yes the Crunch is a great tool. I just ordered the Charge TTi and the Charge AL. I'm also considering the core. Leatherman makes terrifc products with an amazing 25 year warranty.

Why both? The AL doesn't have much by way of better tools.
I just use a Blast. Does everything I need it to. The Phillips driver on the Wave\Surge\Charge is pretty crap.
The higher end tools are much heavier. Keep this in mind when selecting one.

PERSAVIERNCE IS THE KEY
Re: Multi Tool
I use a wave, I find the philips driver fine, except when the fastner is really highly tensioned. and in such a case why are you using a multitool in the first place? I use mine at least 3-4 times a day, the Crunch looks good, however there's no way I could use it, because I treat my vise grips like complete crap.
Re: Multi Tool
The wave is a great tool. I heard they work very well, as do all of Leatherman products.
Re: Multi Tool
I've got a Blast and used it every day. The Crunch looks really cool though. I may have to save up for one of those.

I ordered both because I find them neat.
I love the phillips driver. My friend has one and I found it quite nice. I love heavy tools. Something about weight that makes it feel more sturdy.
