BOGATA HANDLES

here is how i apply my handles, the second step in making these rakes.
the first step is creating the core.
i documented the first step already.

here are the premade Tri-peak cores, with the wiper insert handles and 3 layers of dual-wall heatshrink
(this means there is a layer of hot glue inside the black tubing)

here we see the sweeper bristle handles,
glued under the first layer of heatshrink.

Re: BOGATA HANDLES

They look great Awol!

Do you use the hot glue to ensure the heatshrink stays on or is it to add bulk and round out the handle (or both) ?

the hot glue is actually a part of the shrink tubing, like a sleeve that runs inside the black part of the tubing.
it is intended for electronics applications.
the glue both bulks the handle up,and holds everything together firm and tight.
it's expensive, but great stuff.
