Funny, I was just thinking along the same lines... I just paid a couple bucks for one of those chinese disc-detainer picks and it has a few variations of usable wheels on it. Would actually be cheaper to buy a bunch of them and part them out, tho again the hole is pretty big for most of my projects but can be worked around. Aluminum is fine, and easier to work with with the currently limited tools I have available... would be curious to see your mounting doohickey if it's no trouble. The hub isn't necessary at all (but not a problem either), and set screws aren't critical... I can drill & tap my own in aluminum, or solder them on.
