First Impression
This lockwood..... let me tell you this lock won the dirtiest lock of all time award. It was full to the top with something green, not sure if this lock belonged to the incredible hulk or if someone just decided to stuff some green crayons into it but after 5 baths in brakleen, WD, soapy water, lube etc etc it was still too dirty to impressioning. Another cleaning run and it was able to be impressioned but the dirt didnt stop there, after open, I was able to shackle out probably another 1lb of green dirt from inside. Weird but fun.

Papa Gleb wrote:This nice lock (unknown brand) marked Ford put up a good fight but I won at the end to find a rusted in shackle. With some elbow work I had the shackle open. If anyone knows what brand of lock this is please share.
Probably a Hurd, let's see the other side of the lock and the keyway.

Fantastic job on that Lockwood Gleb. Really.

Re: First Impression
Thx Mike,
Jeff, the other side is identical and the Keyway is no warded keyway. Notice the blank I used which is an M15 which only has one ward but this lock does not. If Im explaining it wrong,Ill get a pic up.

Re: First Impression
Sounds like a Hurd for sure...just a squared off keyway?

Re: First Impression
Good job on the Lockwood Gleb. I have two locked together that I'm working my way up to. Just starting out impressioning and haven't even opened a 5pin master yet. So it might be awhile.
macgng; it's completely unnecessary to have ~15$ in keys for a 50¢ lock ... but we all do it anyway
Re: First Impression
Awesome work Papa! I just want everyone to know I begged him to give up on that Lockwood because I felt terrible about sending it to him with so much gunk in it but he never did and now thanks to him I have a beautiful lock with a working key. thank you so much buddy!
Re: First Impression
Farmall, I didnt even know it was a 6 pin lol. I counted the pins several times and kept getting 5 but took a longer blank just in case. As I started there was something on 6 so I said fk it and just filed a bit. Then during the process got a bit more and more and glad I did.
LockButcher, your very welcome my friend. I dont give up, I just say loudly For Mother Russia in a heavy heavy Russian accent and mush on

Re: First Impression
To continue the story, I wanted to get all of the impressioning out the way so that I can get back to picking. Have some awesome locks that I cant get to so I mushed on last night and got 2 of these locks. Very easy locks which is the fun of impressioning. Huge marks all the way to the end. The southwest Gas lock is a bit special because this lock marks the 50th lock I have ever impressioning
Also, pay attention to the cuts, I think they are getting better and better no?
