Dunno why I never tried to pick this before, it actually wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it'd be. Fuskered with the finger pins a little, got some nice clicky crunchy action outta them, once I wasn't getting any more outta those fuckers I switched to the regular stacks. Got some nice feedback, and after setting a few pins I got a noticeable bit of rotation so I went back to the finger pins. Bit more feedback from there, went back to the regular stacks again and *POP*. Nearly fucking shit myself.

It's been a while since I actually got excited about opening something. Thanks kokomo!! You da man :akimbo:

And then a video was born... not the quickest time out there but I'm no Tooly!!

Well done! :hbg:

With just a standard hook, nothing special for the finger pins?

So that is a Schlage Primus aka Classic Primus which is distinct from the Schlage Everest Primus? :???:

I bought what I believe is a Schlage Everest from MacGng (thanks Mac  ), the side bitting looks simple compared to the one you have photographed. As you've probably guessed we don't see many Schlage locks in Australia.

Yep. Not exactly sure how I did it, having a hard time picking it a second time to be honest. Must've gotten semi-lucky with the sidebar before, but there is definitely a specific feel to it that I'm looking for when picking it now... I just can't really explain what it is. I'll get it again though, and there will be video. :hbg:

And yeah, this is a classic primus. The everest primus has an additional check pin, and also has the everest logo on the plug.

Great job, Solomon!
I have 2 Primuses, no keys. They´ve been untouched on the "nasty"lock shelf for so long, that I think I will try them again.

Nice job. I have an Everest primus LFIC but not a classic primus in the collection.

To clear up some confusion, or cause some. :???:

Classic Primus and Everest Primus use 5 finger pins that are aligned by the bitting on the side of the key. Everest (non-primus) uses a single check pin, Everest Primus does not have a check pin because they use the 5 finger pins.

Fuck, I thought the everest primus was like an everest and primus combined. So what's the difference between the everest and everest primus?

Everest just has the check pin.
Everest Primus has the check pin + finger pins/sidebar.

The Everest Primus does not have a check pin! Everest Primus adds one additional height for the finger pin for key control!!

That was my assumption too, but apparently that's not the case.
