Re: Keymark Keying

I just got a Keymark x4 KIK with keys but not pinned up.
Will this chart work to pin the cylinder up?

Re: Keymark Keying

I'm not sure jeffmoss26. I got the pinning information on the keymark thru the Locksmith Ledger articles quite some years back.

The Keymark x4 is coming up as a Medeco on my google search.

I'll try to find the pinning information on it and see if it's any different.

If so I'll just make another program specific to that lock.

Re: Keymark Keying

Jeffmoss26, I found out your lock uses the standard A2 pinning.

Re: Keymark Keying

OK great.
I am guessing I would not need to pin each stack to 23 since there's no control shear. I know the Best cam locks use a total height of 13.
Will have to mess around with my A2 pin kit at some point.
Thanks!

Re: Keymark Keying

Well the A2 has a pin stack of 23. The Keymark program I made is for a pin stack of 19.

Here's an example of the Yale KeyMark from their Service Manual:
http://www.lsamichigan.org/Tech/Yale%20 ... 5-11RE.pdf

It seems the 19 pin stack is used on their non-SFIC cylinders, which my program covers.

I would try the A2 pinning on your Keymark x4 first and see if it works, which according to their brochure, it should.

Excellent! I think the Yale manual is exactly what I need. Thank you!
