TRANSPONDER EQUIPMENT?

I am looking for information on transponder equipment. I am completely overwhelmed with results i have found so far. is there a good starting place in regards as to what to buy. I want to break into the auto key market but lost as to how. Looks very very expensive. Wondering if there is one tool that does a wide range of cars. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated. Any good books or links or thoughts ..?

We use Zed bull and something from JMA at the lockie I go to for car stuff.
