Dear all =)

When I look at Kaba's website they write pretty much the same and shows (the same?) pictures for the quattro pluS and experT.

http://www.kaba.co.uk/solutions/mechani ... -keys.html

Can anyone explain what the differences are?

Hugs,
Jasmine =)

It is well worth the money, has great descriptions and drawings and history :) There is some small errors in some pics like with Abloy, but only a hardcore lockfan will notice them ;)

There is another flaw in the book as well. It becomes a shopping list. Reading the book the first time, I was thinking "I want one of these! Oh, one of those too". By the time I had finished reading the book, I realized just how dangerous that book was to the bank account. :D

From what I can make out , there is very little physical difference between the 2. They are even covered by the same patent.
But they seem to be pushing the Quattro S as a High Security lock for larger master key systems , and the experT for small and medium size master key systems.

BTW , i also have that book , and it's great. It's getting a bit old now (from 2007) so the very recent locks aren't covered , but overall I would highly recommend it to anyone who's into locks.

This is terrible news! I've just had this book arrive in the post a couple of days ago (costs £65 new on Amazon but I got a great deal on a new "used" (described new) copy from a seller :D). It's in perfect shape which is much more than I can say about my bank balance now... egads :D
