Ross lever locks

Hey there everyone! I'm currently doing my Australian apprenticeship in locksmithing and I have a question about making keys for Ross lever locks.

Is it possible to cut the key if the depths of the wafers are known? Now by depth I mean the distance from the edge in contact with the actual key to the inside edge of the step where the post has to pass through the gap. If any of my terminology is wrong please correct me as I am obviously keen to learn.

Cheers

It's possible whether the depths are known or not.

Re: Ross lever locks

What series of lock are you talking about? I am assuming you are talking about the 6 lever 100 series. If you let me know exactly what series I can give you some good knowledge. Each series of the K.J. Ross Security locks has a different format for cutting. Key blanks are available directly from the manufacturer, so you can practice.

And yes ... is the answer to your question.
