Found some vials of pins in a drawer,
They look to be replacement pins for the
Titan to Schlage conversion kit(40-090).
Dose anyone have the pin Lengths?
I don't want to throw them away if they can be use is standard Schlage locks.
Or may be they can be used in Kwikset locks?
I have a feeling they may be just a little different, why else make them?

Those are Kwikset bottom pins 1 through 7 according to the 2013 residential price book.

Hmm...
Thanks for the quick response.
Guess I'll pin up a couple of kwiksets and see how they work.
That will be great.

Kwikset original bottom pins are normally pretty easy to spot. They look like a hybrid of a driver and standard bottom pin. The "pointed end" has a very wide flat on it, this is the reason original keys have such a wide base to their cuts. The pin almost looks like a mal-formed driver. Sclage has a more traditional "point".

I've been to a couple of houses in the next town over where all of the locks were Titans with Schlage keyways. It makes me scratch my head. Why not just buy Schlage? Or maybe it's just a competitor charging for superfluous work?
