I kind of tried to ask what you do in a situation where the manufacturer parts are not readily avalable or available at all, how do you then fix it?

find the best fit and make it work. when repairing a safe you're looking to make it as good or better than before. it'll depend on the mounting, and what attack point the plate's covering and how it's holding the relocker back. you could frame a smaller plate to fit the mountings as long as it covers and holds where required. you could re-route the relock cable or change it's length to fit another plate which covered and mounted fine. you could disable the relocker and not fit a new plate, this will drop the safe's rating, but if a person or business has inherited a safe which is way beyond the rating they need for their use, this may be an option. if it's essential that the glass be refitted as new for insurance purposes but the part is no longer available, then the client will be looking at getting a new safe. this will only really apply to businesses with a large amount of cash to store on site and they may be insured against such safe failure and replacement.
