I have a guy that has a 826 padlock. When he opens it, hes able to remove the shackle completely. I know that means the little pin at the bottom is missing, I just need some advice on how to repair it.

It is just a roll pin drill or press old pin out and use needle nose vise grips to Reach in and reinsert new one once shackle is replaced

Pushed pin out last night

It is .07-.075 thick pin is a little oblong from being pressed thru

The shackle is .5 wide the Chanel the pin rides in is aprox. .07-.09 so I wouldn't make pin longer than .6 but length isn't that big of an issue as long as the pin doesn't stick out to far or not enough it just needs to hold shackle in push in and keep turning shackle till it fits . U take everything out ad place shackle in just till it is below the cross bar on shackle side just to where u can see hole place roll pin in taper one end place a punch or something solid on end of pun and lightly tap in with hammer till fits and turns freely in channel
