Those are master pins. They don't have inner pins
This lock is been repinned as some keys are the old systems and not interactive plus

And to be honest, those do NOT look like master pins to me. First off they are way too big to be master pins and why are they ends pointy? Those look like MTL 7x7 key pins which is MLTs line of none pin-in-pin 7 pin locks

I could definitely use some help here... what did you have in mind? Do you know someone with a MTL pin kit?

Re: master pins... I agree with you. I don't know too much about MTLs, but there is a BB video in which he guts a MTL that had traditionally thin master wafers (donuts?) and inner pins...

Yes, my locksmith buddy has a pinning kit. Send it over and Ill repin it with true pin-in-pin pins.

In comments to my YT video, l0ckcr4ck3r had another idea. He said they might be pins designed and made by MTL to defeat the inner pin over lift attack, but they were only supposed to be used in one chamber... not all five.

All good ideas but we will never know the truth but who cares at this point. ill pin this baby up proper and can even change the tops pins for you. For something a bit more interesting or rather different because those spools look like fun too.

What kind of master pins are those? They defeat the entire pin-in-pin technology? I seen MTL master pins and they are like donuts. HT picked a few of the pin-in-pin locks, check his youtube thread.

What do you mean it wont make a shear line? how does the plug turn then? HT for the experiment, pin the plug and take a pic please. Very curious to see what he means.

You have me confused on two fronts:

1 - I'm not sure that I follow you when you say that they are master pins... I see that you are from Israel. I wonder if there is a terminology disconnect. When you say a lock is master pinned to me, that usually denotes a lock that has multiple shear lines in at least one pin stack such that the lock will work with more than one key. This is usually accomplished by insertion of wafers between the key pins and driver pins. That's definitely not the case here.

2 - I definitely get a shear line. If you watch the video, you will see that I operated the lock when I took it out of the box/bag, and I later used the key to gut it. How could I have done that without the pins making a shear line? You can see the shear line clearly in the video when I pull the plug and say "something is very wrong here." Can you explain what you mean here?
