So, I've seen topics in this section of people asking for what type of cylinder does this or that Medeco has, so sorry If someone has already asked this question, but is there an easy way to know which one of the three Medeco mechanisms a deabolt has just by looking at the keyway and the labels? I recently got my hands on a biaxial Medeco and gives me nightmares everynight, considering that the hardest lock I've picked is a Master 140... might as well start early.

By the keyways... don't think so.

By the labels... the BiAxial symbol is the chisel pin tip (|) , the M3 says "M3" (and you can see the slider on the side of the keyway), and the classic doesn't say M3 or have the chisel pin tip. The DuraCam has a wider keyway and the pins come in from the side (dimple lock). The 'Cliq' has the funny three gold dots inside the keyway, and the Disclock is not a Medeco. (Nor is the Interactive or the V7).

Classic will just have 'medeco'
Biaxial will have 'medeco' and a logo that looks like this (/)
M3 will have 'medeco' and 'm3'
Bilevel will have 'medeco' and 'm3b'
Keymark will say Keymark or Keymark x4

Yes, but the most common are classic, biaxial, and m3.

And the Duracam is (as stated before), just a dimple version of a BiAxial.

OP, you can google or try going to Medeco's site and download a product catalog, it will show you all the mechanism types and model numbers.
