Nice post xeo, I like such a clear and simple explanation.

I picked a few medecos, sometimes with just a hook or an half diamond and sometimes with the help of a groovegrabber I made. Picking it "blind" is the more rewarding way, when it opens is a true surprise and joy moment. If I use the groovegrabber, I feel like if I've cheated a little. But it helps by rotationally setting the pins without the need of recognising what's going on inside. Usually I mark its side with a pencil to know where the right angles are. Sometimes I use it just to easily rotate the pins. Here it is

Cheers :)

Cool. Nice custom tool. I stay away from groovegrabbers. You'd run into trouble on ARX pins where the true gate does not run the full length of the pin.

Yeah, that's another good reason to avoid using it...

I'm left with two mul-t-lock that I can't open,no matter what I try, will ask for help later on the dedicated thread!
Thank you all again and Happy 2012 (I'm a bit late, i know  )

I recently found one of my old and untouched medeco and played with it for a while

I agree about sticking xeo's post.

cheers :)

ps: congrats for your openings andrea, the millenco is a lot easier than a medeco, but it's a fun pick too ;)

I haven't completely mastered the medeco yet still cant get past 4 of the six pins (still 2 pins removed) I add the remianing pins and for some reason cant get it but xeo's tutorials are what have got me this far. I agree should be stickied. Xeo has excellent tutorials and videos, keep up the good work XEO

I have been bringing it with me to work everyday and picking it in my truck on my lunch break in Parking lot I took pic on my iPhone but not sure how to upload using iPhone I'll try emailing to see if I can use work computer.
