Medeco Duracam

Here is a Medeco Duracam Biaxial cam lock. It uses the same pins as a standard Medeco Biaxial cam lock but the keyway has been made horizontal and the cuts of the key are on the side like a Mul-T-Lock. The pins rotate with the angels of the key and line up the holes on the pins with the sidebar finger pins, the sidebar get pushed in towards the plug and it opens. I have yet to pick this lock, the warding runs the entire length of the plug and make it tough to get to the pins.

Oooooooo... just like their other cam locks, but sideways. Looks like a tricky pick. Great photos Kokomo!

Bizzare, but very nice. Wouldn't mind seeing one in person.

Re: Medeco Duracam

I replied to this last night, but it seems the site is missing a bunch of posts for some reason overnight?? Anyways, I heard about a different kind of Medeco being used on vending machines, is this the one that is or has gained a new popularity for this application? Where did you find this one? Also, the way it works is sort of a bummer I think. Does this mean that all the Medeco authorized dealers have to get a special key machine just to duplicate these ones in addition to what everybody always used for the regular Medeco keys??
I have been in the souls of many women, but I always end up on the soles of there shoes.

I bought this one on Ebay. They are used on vending and gaming machines. I don't know about duplicating them, I think the key would fit in my HPC code machine to cut one but not sure, will have to check on it.
