Good job getting it on the first attempt! Perhaps someday I'll be ready to try picking a Medeco lock. Seems tricky.

Thanks man! I had been working up to the sixth pin since last Friday and after adding the last pin I just decided to film my first attempt on a whim. I still have a long way to go with these, but getting into a fully assembled one felt really good! Take a crack at them man! It comes a lot faster than I thought it would.

Nice work, tumbl3r. Progressive pinning is definitely the way to go when learning to pick Medeco.

Thanks Gordon! The real quantum leap for me came when I really fully understood and could use the "jiggle test". The ability to know for certain that a pin was rotated correctly seemed to make all the difference. I still have a long way to go before I will feel like I have a general mastery of Medecos, but taking down that first one sure did feel good! I've ordered a new set of keypins to hopefully make the lock take on a different "personality". Any other tips for diversifying one's experience with these things? A guy can't buy too many $65.00 cylinders without the wife taking notice.

Nice. How exciting is THAT?! Grabbed a ticket to your show too.

Xeo is definitely the fella to learn from when it comes to these.
I remember setting here and watching hour after hour of his vids.
And I see he's recently revised his write-up on picking Medecos :D

Oldfast! Thanks so much for your help on this project man! For a long time I thought Medeco locks were out of my league, but you guys made it seem approachable, and that made all the difference! Thanks also for the sub! I reciprocated with one as well!

Thanks xeo! Your guide was really really helpful! In the beginning I tried both CW and CCW picking, but eventually settled on CW because it was more comfortable. I plan to spend some more time experimenting with CCW picking as I work to improve my "feel" for setting a sidebar finger.
