mystery keyway... HELP?

this is a mystery core...what i DO know is:
the core has serrated spools, and one regular serrated driver, plus serrated keypins....sound familiar?
yep! fits an american 1105,perfectly.
i took the core down to my locksmith bud and stumped not only him, but his boss as well.
no idea ...so please ,if you recognize this profile,or know of a blank that could be modded to fit,
please let me know.
i will pick it on cam, this week.

Re: mystery keyway... HELP?

have you tried sc1? the top half of the keyway looks kind of like an sc1..I would try filing off some of the botton of a schlage key.

That looks an awful lot like a Brinks keyway like on my Brinks Shrouded lock. I can tell you for sure that it's not a KeyMark.

Re: mystery keyway... HELP?

It may just be an off brand that doesn't have a definite key blank to go with it. (Guess)

Re: mystery keyway... HELP?

Could it be American Lock keyway ATPKB11 or ATPKB12? You can go to their website and download the PDF to check out some of their keyways. I don't know what the generic blank is called, if there is one.

It's enough out of focus it's kinda hard to guess. Did you try photographing it with a black background?

On the same note, does anyone know how to go about getting those big books of keyway/blank silhouettes I've seen in a couple videos? Didn't know if you needed to get one from each manufacturer, or if there was a compiled reference somewhere.

No good guesses on this one though, sorry.

i was given to me to i.d.
stumped a shop full of locksmiths....
i id'ed it as an am11oo series cylinder, having picked it open to reveal serrated spools/reg.
and serrated keypins...i then installed the core into an 1100 seris padlock, into which it fit and functioned perfectly...
