I have taken my 826 apart. Never got an 831 and impulse forced me to get the 826. I still haven't been able to pick it though. I'd be very interested in replacing the plug though. Can you post some pics of what you've done for yours?

Ahh, you'll have to have access to a fair variety of plugs and cylinders. I went through an old bucket of cylinders we had around the shop until I found one the right dimentions.
Then I had to oversize the cylinder to fit the plug (the two were not originally ment for eachother), just filed in a circlip to hold the plug into it's new cylinder and then filed the end to mirror the medeco exactly.
Nothing to it really. Just have to have the parts.
