Help with abloy Classic

Just started to get more into abloy style locks and was wondering what the best way to start picking the abloy Classic system.

Also have a couple of spare cylinders for swapsies if anyone is interested.

Re: Help with abloy Classic

Start by talking to huxleypig who has a tool that actually works:

(I may be interested in your spare cylinders. Don't have much to trade, but which cylinders are you referring to and would you sell?)
PM if interested.

Wow nice stuff!
Way beyond my level haha :(
Thanks for the offer but I'd prefer to trade for interesting bits and pieces.

Re: Help with abloy Classic

Hi Status6. Firstly, the Abloy Classic is most definitely pickable. Do your locks have the free rotating front disc(s)? If so you'll have to tension it from the rear 2 discs. Then get moving discs about until it opens!

Re: Help with abloy Classic

Have a manual pick set for them that I made based on a post here on Keypicking. Great post to read on the subject. The pick starts as a cut down key with the outer radius filed in a little, and a hacksaw blade with a flag bent to match the radius of a key, narrow enough to pass between discs. It is tough to use, and frequently is a b#### to pick with (especially if there are both 0 discs and 5 discs, but it can work.

Just when you think you've learned it all, that is when you find you haven't learned anything yet.
