As mentioned it depends on the lock. The slender or standard depends on the lock and your picking style, if you're a heavy handed picker the slims likely aren't for you. I find the slims to be superb in feeling and feedback and use a slender gem or slender hook, with the hard plastic handles, for 98% of my picking even when the keyway is wide enough for a bus to go through. I've also found it useful to take a couple and thin down the blade profile so they are more like the Euro cut picks, and that helps with very low pins when does make them even more flexible. I love the slenders and use them so much that I feel like I'm picking with gloves on when using a standard width pick.
