Master ProSeries 6836 Dissassembly

So I bought a lot of these Master 6836 lockout locks on ebay. I'm trying to disassemble them fully, removing the cam, ball bearings shackle etc. But I couldn't for the life of me figure out how.

I found this on Master's website:

After which I looked into my own lock and sure enough, there's a circlip holding everything in.

I've never seen this type of retention in a padlock before. I can't seem to remove it either. It's a pretty tight space and I can't fit even the most narrow needle noses I have. Any suggestions?

Re: Master ProSeries 6836 Dissassembly

Use a narrow slotted screwdriver, twisting it, to get one end of the clip to move inwards. Then use a 90 degree pick (not the Lockpicking kind) to raise that end out of the groove. Work your way around to the other side of the clip, turning the screwdriver and lifting with the pick as you go.

Good luck!
