Re: Peterson Prybar Graveyard

Wow!

So do you use a pulsing tension: (i) heavy torque to get a bind then; (ii) reduction in torque to set binding pin; and (iii) back to (i)?

Re: Peterson Prybar Graveyard

It looks like he uses i. Heavy tension, ii. Pulsing to extra heavy tension to iii. Putting a wrench on the end! :-P

That's my preferred method but I've never managed to break anything. My guess would be he goes straight to (iiiii) or so then up to at least eleven.

Yes. Those were snapped on a Trioving dp12, ASSA Twin 6000 euro profile and an RR Brinks Mogul

Clearly your method works and you have contradicted the conventional wisdom regarding torque. I sincerely believe you have overturned a longheld fundamental regarding picking technique. :hbg:

What kind of mogul? If it is an ASSA Twin then I would say use a lot but if it is a RR Brink or something like that I use light tension.
