Shurlock is sure locked

I was wondering if anyone knows hows to open this sort of lock? I have the combination for the little side door but not the shackle. The way i figured out the combo for the door is by peering into the space left of each wheel and there was an indentation next to the correct number. There was also an indentation to the right of each wheel but only the left one worked for anything so it might've just been a coincidence and luck.

Re: Shurlock is sure locked

lol... nice.

So you're saying there's two different combinations: 1 opens the box, while the other opens the shackle?

I've never had one of those.... would you elaborate a bit more for me?

Re: Shurlock is sure locked

you got it right, there are two combinations. One opens the little door for a key to be taken out and another opens the shackle. It's used mostly for real estate agents. They lock the shackle to the door and keep it there for people to look through the house with the combo to get the key.

Re: Shurlock is sure locked

So after you've aligned the grooves to the left of the wheels (for door)...
does each wheel require additional turns like the other combo (for shackle) did?

Re: Shurlock is sure locked

it did not require any additional turns for the door. not for this one at least. I haven't had the opportunity to try this on another one but i think it would be the same. i'll try and get some pics posted later of the groove if i can get my camera to pick up on it

edit: the camera isn't picking up on it

Yeah... lol. Didn't think it would. But that's ok, I understand that part. Thanks again for clarifying.
