LSA, what were your thoughts of it?

its a million bypasses... mostly locks specific...
totally cool... some are well known... others blew my mind...

as an instructor hes knowledgable and personable... puts on a great class (anecdotes and all)

if your into that sort of thing id say its totally worth it...
as a locksmith its helpful for making a quick buck... if you come up aginst a lock you will realize you can bypass it and save time... you will save money (or make money for easier quicker work)... as a hobbiest its just fun info... probably not worth paying for the class if your just a hobbiest tho

I tried to track down harry sher on google and that led me to peterson international, where they sell a dvd and some peterson bypass tools, silver bullets for master padlocks and wires with handles for the adams rite locksets, a breaker for the keyway cap in american padlocks with a tool to turn the upper plug i suppose and a tool that reaches through a euro that has a thumbturn on the inside and turns the thumb turn,

in short the harry sher course is probably petersons dvds and bypass tools like the knife tool for 3 and 4 wheel combination locks like sesamee and its clones.

lol ther harry sher course is NOT petersons dvds... although the peterson dvds are neat... harry sher is far more badass than that

it is the DAME portion of LSS+
it is a locksmith level add on ($350 for locksmith lss+ then $100 for DAME) you cant just buy the dame without an appropriate level lss+ (gov-$600- or locksmith-$350-)
all the lss+ disks except the first one are simply videos.. the DAME disk is (actrually 2 disks) full of harry sher giving his class to marc and his camera... very informative guy, very cool bypasses...

pm me if you need any more info...

If you get the option to go to the class, I'd strongly recommend it. If not (which is the more likely option for most), the video LSA talked about is an excellent option.
The class covers a lot of different methods, many of which most will never have heard of. Its excellent stuff. If you end up buying the Locksmith or Government version of LSS+, you will get that class along with all of the information in the books for a lot less than it would cost to go to a class from Harry or someone similar. Obviously its not the same as an in person class, but maybe that thought will soften the blow of the cost of LSS+.
I do need to point out, that a lot of the techniques covered in D.A.M.E. are tool dependent, many of them specific to one (or one type) of lock. So to be able to put the techniques into practice would require a large expenditure.
The Peterson tools are based on the class and are some of the many tools covered.I have not seen the Peterson DVD to comment on how useful that is.
Hope that helps.

^^ great comments
many technique are tool dependant... but few are tools we cannot make
infact in the DAME vids most of what he uses is stuff he has made (the one I remember was a bent up coat hanger with a makeshift handle)

the peterson dvds are great if you wanna know how to use petersons tools he covers them all in great detail but you wont learn anything astounding as weve all seen his tools for quite some time. but they are well done vids (and reasonably priced)

Thanks for that! I'm in law enforcement and only a hour away from there will be signing up today! This is the value in this forum: the exchange of information. We clearly aren't very good at it in law enforcement but, keypicking will get me there.
