That's the one Femurat! Rotating > 90 degrees and goble, globble, release tension, rescue your pick and start again. Annoying.

Gotta put this one up. It's nothing special, I know, but it has been my nemesis lock ever since I was 15! I threw away the concept of lockpicking as a load of rubbish when I failed to pick this lock as a teenager. Only now has it yielded! Feels good but kinda empty and sad, like knowing how a magician does his best trick.

So I see this as good enough to be added to the thread!

It has a very, very strong return spring that dampens feedback. Only 5 pins and I don't think any are security pins. It is very much a one trick pony but it does do that trick very well.

Wow look at the keyway on that, or what is left of it. I bet that felt great to pop that open!

Lol, yes mate, at the mouth of the lock it's had so much messing with it the warding is nearly all gone! It becomes more defined the deeper into the lock you go.

I tried a million different ways to open it. Bumping (no), bespoke foil impressioning system (no), raking (no), etc, etc.

It literally took years. So yes, it felt great, I couldn't believe it!

I bet that felt gooooood. Probably even better than the rush you get when you pick your first lock.

Tubar:

Shouts out to Kokomolok and Elbow for helping with this one. I did indeed need very heavy tension and once Kokomo had assured me he'd buy me a new Tubar should I break the anti-wrench pins in it I then added more tension.

Great job! I have one Tubar laying around... May I see your tension wrench?

Thanks :)

Here you go mate:

The width of the wrench is very important. I tried doing this with some of my normal tension wrenches but they were to wide and thick. They were obscuring the middle pins that I was trying to get to.

This wrench was inserted square and then whilst applying tension I moved it up at an angle a bit, partly to get more tension on it without it slipping and partly so I could get a better view of the pins.

Congrats on the TuBar, Hux. It took a long time for me to get mine, and I was worried about breaking the anti-wrench pins, too.

Thank you very much. Seeing the wrench in action is worth a thousand words. I'll let you know if I ever manage to pick mine...

Cheers :)
