HP's Picked Locks

I only wanted to show the farmerfreak lock that I just picked but I thought I'd make a thread just in case I pick any others that I'm particularly proud of. I'll post the pic of the M3 I picked maybe at a later date.

Anyway, the crazy FF lock:

The bitting and key (nasty keyway and bitting on this one):

By the way, it IS a cutaway BUT it's cutaway on the outside of the plug only and so you can't see the pins as you pick them just in case you thought I was cheating here!

Re: HP's Picked Locks

I've done the desmo a few times now, I got it down pretty good but I know where all the sliders are meant to go so a new one would be good to pick now.

Anyway, this next lock has been eating my soul for about the last week. I think at least 80 (yes, 80) hours have gone into picking it. My thumb and middle finger are wrecked, as is my wrist, shoulder and elbow. But now I can rest.

ASSA Twin 2 (V-10, 7000, whatever):

I gotta say my hat goes off to the pick I used. It's a cheap GOSO one but God, it's been a fucking warrior. My Southord graduated hook died after about 2 minutes (lol), this lock has also claimed my Peteren half diamond (pissed off about that) and that lasted about 35 hours. So the GOSO one has done a good 40 hours in this lock (which needs a tough pick obviously) and is still fine. So expensive isn't always good!

The techniques that this lock has forced me to learn should hold me in good stead for the future at least.

And no Ringo, I will not be picking this lock again in a hurry! Maybe when I've healed!

Killer. I bet that felt great. =]

The code is hidden in the tumblers. One position opens the lock, another position opens one of these doors...

Wow, this lock got really stiff on me when it got close to opening. Actually quite fun to pick.
