Thank gents. I have a love for dimple locks and had my eye on Mul-T-Lock way before I even knew about picking but up until I started picking, I thought all dimple locks were Mul-T-Locks, lol. That Abus, after I got the right pick, was a breeze to pick. To be honest I thought it would keep me busy for a little while. Gotta get my hands on a Mul-T-Lock or something similar, very curious to taste the telescopic technology.

Gordon, I prepared my diamond pick waiting for this lock but it was too thick to fit into the key way. I want to thin it out just a bit and smooth out the sides as I did no work to it at all. I used a sparrows off-set diamond which after polishing looks more like a round hook, lol but it did the job and continues to.

Very old WB square body padlock, Hurd style open keyway. Used a homebrew music wire tension wrench and a Peterson .018 hook:

Yo Ringo, how do you find those dimple picks? The ones that are rectangular shaped with the bit that picks cut out? Goso I think aint they?

The Klom Pickset has dimple picks.

It's the first one I've ever seen also! I did find a couple pictures of similar locks on the antique padlocks website, I'll post the link tomorrow.

Not sure which thread to use as I see we have 2 (lock slaying thread and this one) but this isnt a slaying so Ill post this here:

This is a US Lock (copy of the American Lock) purchased from ebay. Great heavy lock with much more spring tension than any American I have picked. Standard core I suspect as I haven't had a chance to gut it but I can tell you all one thing for sure, they are all standard pins. So BUYER BE AWARE!!! Im not sure if the seller took all the good security pins and put standards in or if US Lock just copies everything but the pins to save $$$ but it was sure a serious let down. I only seen a US Lock gutted one time on YouTube and that was full with security pins however there were 6 pins which make me think it was repined to be a challenge lock.

I haven't gutted mine either but it wasn't 'easy' by no means. Felt like serrated's .. now you make me wanna tear it apart.

Forgot to add, I knocked down another lock I got from Jeff.
Schlage 5 pin. Crazy thing is I was just messing with it while my kid was reading to me. It turned and I was all like 'OMG!'

Took about 20 minutes.
2 hand cramps.
