I have a 3x3x3, 4x4x4, 5x5x5, and a Square 1. The know how to solve cubes is used with every increase in size but the square 1 is a completely different beast. I find these puzzles relaxing. I really like the 4x4 because of the parity tricks needed to complete, but it is still a quick solve.

Actually this shop was the first in town that I struck up a friendship with. One of their lockies who no longer works there was the first to put a Yale PKPT lock into my hands as a challenge for impressioning. A lot of my early impressioning locks and blanks came from there.

KABA Peaks from the money bag pass along. Easy to feel the pins and nice clicks. The hardest part was holding it. The warding may look tricky but resting the 0.015" pick on the first ledge left plenty of space to work. A responsive and fun lock.

Those pins do look quite funky, nice picking & thanks for the gut shot.
I've never seen a spooled master wafer before!

Your KABA gut-shot illustrates one of several reasons
we do not recommend picking locks that are in use. lol

Looks like that lock would punish you for any over-setting.

Saw your lock had 7 pins, went back and added the 7th pin in my practice lock.
Should have added another serrated pin, but chickened out.
Now I'll go back and start switching the spools for serrated one at a time.

Seems like you are doing just fine. Good job. :hbg:

Don't fear the serrated. In fact, put the serrated pin on top of the shortest key pins. That way you have to work every groove past the shear line. Just one click at a time and move to the next pin.
That KABA was probably an easier pick because of all the master wafers.
