Aww, Bummer man, its also one of my favorites, and probably not going anywhere while I walk this earth ;) Its the one and only BEST I own with company markings, and also one of my favorites in terms of size. Dont see too many medium sized locks fitted with a full size cylinder. Its unlikely I will, as I got this one through a trade, but if I see another similar I will be sure to keep you in mind. Do you collect factory engraved BEST? I know MacGnG has quite the collection!

Some more Status Sixes, LS, OS and SLC profiles.

Image

Easiest was the SLC, with a nice open keyway, levering from second lowest ward. Toughest was the OS, which is very obstructed. I had to lever off the very top ward, inserting the pick sideways and then rotating it to set the pins, much like dimple picking. I also had to use a 0015 just to get the flexibility required to get in there.

EVVA 3KS

After seeing greengrow's pick I knew I had to get this one out of the box >:) Thanks man! Thanks also go to GWiens for sending it to me.

Hammered away on it for a couple of hours each day over the last 3 or so, seemed to be getting so close many times, but no matter how many times I moved those binders around, the damn thing just wouldn't open. Realised today that I had forgotten about the profile bar at the top, which I had facing down the whole time holding the cylinder.. Doh! Turned it over so the profile bar would hang down and 5 minutes later it was open! So based on that, I probably have opened it a half dozen times at least already :P Gotta love this hobby!

Excellent work on the 3KS adi!

Got both of my fully pinned Medeco locks opened today. Both locks I inserted the key prior to picking to scramble the rotation. I feel now I can accurately detect properly rotated pins using a .018" gem. I ordered some bulk pins so I can continue to practice on them with different layouts.

Almost embarrassing after a Medeco post, almost!

I just have to skip the #17 & #532 for now.

But..this guy kicked me around a bit until I thought my prybar was melting! The spring pressure on these!! I literally thought I was twisting somthing! Now I know why I could not figure out why there were no more pins! There weren't!

A padlock I got as a souvenir from Mexico. It's a PHILLIPS 114, one of the most common locks I saw there. Nothing fancy, but a nice one.

Cheers :)

Here is a lock Ive opened today. No graph,or magnifying glass. Its a great way to keep the brain working. I just have to say out loud, "cam wheel turn-third wheel turn-second wheel turn-first wheel turn".

Ratlock, when you'll be more experienced you won't need to say it out loud.
When I just started out I used to say it too. Now I only say it in my mind lol

Cheers :)
