Re: Very first lock picked?

It was a little guard security 4 pin brass deal I popped with a saftey pin and a bent picture hook. It either has 1 spool pin in the 3rd spot, or I really jacked the cylinder up popping it so many times the first day. Second lock was the 5 pin Schlage deadbolt on the front door. Had to change the pickture hook to a little screwdriver.

My first lock was a baggage lock with no pins, but for locks with pins, it was a Do it (generic brand) lock.

Re: Very first lock picked?

I picked a 50mm Mastercraft (Canadian Tire) 5pin with a filed down screwdriver for a pick and a filed down allen wrench for tension. To this day I still have that lock. I put up a video of the lock on youtube. The feeling was just great and I haven't stopped since.

Re: Very first lock picked?

My first padlock SPP was a master 140. In restrospect there was really nothing to it, but damn was I excited. (woohoo) Continued to practice on that for a while after I first opened it.

Sometimes, just sometimes... when I'm feelin low on my luck, I'll break out the 140 and reminisce. :D

My second padlock I SPP'd was a master 911. In comparison it was a huge leap between the two but it's still a Master so, meh. Spools I can handle. In fact I kind of like picking them, but serrations show me no love.

Re: Very first lock picked?

mine was a tricircle 263 it took me about an hour to get it down but it was great i can't explain how good it felt.
A zealous locksmith died of late,

And did arrive at heaven gate,

He stood without and would not knock,

Because he meant to pick the lock.

Re: Very first lock picked?

My first pick was a master nr.15, if I don’t remember wrong.
It was a fairly easy bitting though..
That lock was the first lock I raked too..
That’s the first lock I picked when I had decided to start whit lock picking.
But the first lock I ever picked was some kind of lever lock that was on a small coffin that I bought when I was like 12 years. You know what kind of lock I mean, that kind that’s on every little girls diary.

Re: Very first lock picked?

My first lock was a small tri-circle, picked with a paper clip! it took me about half an hour to pick, when it finally poped open I couldnt believe it!! I was so suprised that it actually opened, after that I went straight out and bought myself a couple of cheap padlocks and a cheap southord pick set and ended up totally hooked!!!!
