Re: yet another ancient ™BEST SPP'd to ctrl SHEAR

I have picked a few Best, none as old as that, for some reason the way I tension or something, I usually pick the core out before I am ever able to pick the lock open, something that always amazes me.
I have been in the souls of many women, but I always end up on the soles of there shoes.

No, I have never picked on Cam, I have tried but I get flustered and end up messing up! I was just thinking, I have a couple of Falcon I-cores and have picked a couple at work, and every single time on those I can pull the core, but they are made a little bit different. A locksmith friend of mine said that he thinks the way I hold my tension wrench may have to do with why I can do that. I can't do it every time, but I can do it more than average.

you are probably binding @ the bottom of the KW,wedging & pinching the ctrl sleeve into the plug...
it's a method i have been using for awhile now...
(cant wait for the sfic tension tools...i hope they work better than the silver bullets =/ )
i suggest you pick one of your falcon cores a few times, then just relax & pick it on cam...dont even talk till yer done .just focus ,ignore the cam and talk when you are in.
™BEST of luck...

Shame someone ruined that beautiful core by grinding and stamping on its side. Check out some of the newer cores when given a chance: The bottom pins are spools. You'll now find the cores stacked with spools at BOTH shear lines! Fun and fun!

yeah,for sure.
totally unnecessary, unless other #'s had to be ground off ..
i own some of the new bests as well, including the "W" profile,
which, incidentally, i picked to ctrl as well. =)
working on getting a blank so i can key it.
i am looking forward to getting an annex from a fellow picker, then punching out a few of the new ones...
from what i have seen they are awesome.

I bought the Annex a couple years ago to train locksmiths. Funny how we wonder how we got along without such valuable tools. It fits nicely in my LAB IC pinning kit.

To generate a control key (A2 pinning system), decode top pins. Subtract from 13. Result gives Control Depth
