Sargent & Greenleaf 826c

I have a question regarding a S&G 826c I just won one of these last night on ebay & was wondering if this lock can be disassembled the reason I ask
is because the seller said the one I bought from him did not however I did some research myself & according to the S&G catalog it can be
I am only asking this as the two keys supplied with the lock are different
& assumed one would be a control key I asked the seller if one of the keys had control stamped on it he said no
perhaps Hallischarmers can help me as I noticed that he had one posted in his lock pics
here is a pic you can see the keys are not the same help........

Re: Sargent & Greenleaf 826c

the only difference between the ctrl key and the operating key is the shoulder.
the ctrl key has no shoulder, and the original is shaped like an old gm ignition key.
the fact that it has no shoulder allows the key to rotate back in the CCW direction,
and allows disassembly.
look at the shoulder of your keys..(which are identical, btw)
someone has made a ctrl key for you...
hope that helps
you have a ctrl key =)

Mine did not have a control key - only two operating keys. If the keys you have are different from each other, then more than likely one of the keys is a control.

Try turning the keys to the left to see if the core will come out. Wiz is the expert on these babies so let's see what he says.
