D.I.Y. abloy blanks

Made from some disc-detainer style bike lock key, all i had to do was heat the metal,
slide it out of the plastic bow, flip it 'round ,add a little 2-part epoxy (liquid steel)
to hold the bow fast, and a drop to fill the "hole" at the end of my blank.
the warding has to be touched up with a dremel and files, but upon first examination,it appears i have found an ideal blank material.
any thoughts guys?

Great thinking man! I guess I'm gonna have to go buy me a bike lock at wally world now. So many projects...so little time. I look forward to seeing your results at making working a key.
