i am in guys...you all are going to get a kick out of this crazy bitting!
i am in the process of keymaking, and will show the finished key when it is done....
anyway, here is a shot of the open puck, and the custom-made tools that made this pick successful ...
i made a dedicated tension tool, an made a custom medium hook specifically for this lock..
i have learned a lot from this lock, including a higher degree of patience..
watch for the full pick coming up soon on youtube =)

Congratulations! Solid work as always man! Can't wait to see the bitting. Did the fact that the lock was gunked up have much to do with your problems or was it just the bitting?

Yep, I think that once it is open and the entire cylinder pops out - you just use a drift punch to drive out the rolled pin - and then the whole thing plops off.

You can then gut the lock and work your mojo.

When a seriously good picker (like yourself) says they learned
patience , i would like to know roughly how long it took to open
from the 1st attempt at opening until you popped it ,
literally the amount of time spent with the lock in your hands ?
My patience lasts 2-3 hours then i cry a bit and grab an
easier victim !

two days....i took it everywhere with me..it was almost always warm, because of the heat generated by my hands..i refused to give up...i carried it in my backpack, and picked it every chance i got......because i KNEW i could do it,,,,it was just a matter of time.
easily 6 hrs...
probably more,as i get a little consumed and the day is gone...=/

Nozza - Just think OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) to the 10th power.
