Hello folks. Just received this PL4000 and the keys are bitted at 0 I believe. Can anyone advise on how to remove the core to get it rekeyed? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Is there a screw in the shackle hole? If not it might be a LFIC.
How many pins are in there? Take a pick and count. If there are 7 it is a LFIC

6 cuts. No screw. SFIC you think?

Ah ok just found out it's an IC core indeed.

No, actually count the pins with a pick. A Schlage LFIC control key is a longer blank with a 7th cut on it.
It is not SFIC, the top and bottom are different sizes.
And you posted as I did.
If you pick the pins then push up the 7th pin a bit while turning CW (there will be heavy tension from the control lug) you should be able to get it out.

It's an LFIC, MrAnybody and myself both have them.
PM me, I have some control blanks if you want to get the core out and then rekey it.

For my own knowledge... Is this a lock that's not been keyed before? And will a blank be the control key if not ever been keyed?
macgng; it's completely unnecessary to have ~15$ in keys for a 50¢ lock ... but we all do it anyway
Re: Schlage Kryptonite PL4000 rekey ?
On a Schlage LFIC, the bitting of the change key is the same as the control key, except that there is a tip bitting (always cut to a 6 depth.

Jeffmoss26 has offered to send blanks. If you are going to rekey you might want to watch a video and see how they come apart. It would just make it a lot easier to see it once.

Re: Schlage Kryptonite PL4000 rekey ?
As the lock stands now, the control key is 0 bitted with a fixed cut of 7 on the tip.
