It's one thing with a lock you can disassemble, get all your cutting done nice and precise,
then put it all back together. But cutting these self contained locks... I dunno. Very nice!

Is there pins/springs in that one Gordon? I can't see.

No pins in it at this time. The pins and springs are in a bag with the lock. Snowyboy made the cutaway for me. Will get it reassembled when I am low on other lock work. Had that lock a while. It was in the package from which some of the cutaways were stolen.

I myself prefer to vacation AT HOME :D But other peoples' vacations have yielded some gifts for me this year.

These few items came back from Ireland with my parents. Couple beautiful locks.
And the clock is set in green connemara marble. Estimated to be millions of years old.
I absolutely hate 'ticking' clocks. This one is fairly quite, so it's allowed in the lockroom. lol

My lovely spent the last week in Phoenix and brought back the WB with a restricted keyway.
On the reverse side is "APS". A number of companies use this abbreviation, but this is likely
"Arizona Public Services Co" - an Electric Utility company. This is my Valentines present :)

TOK tension for all. Used :halfdiamond: on the Abus & WB. And a :shorthook: for the Zone.
By far, the Zone provided the biggest battle. Key retaining, no spring return.
I was able to clearly feel what was going on... but it was still a real pain.
The first chamber: serrated. Most (or all) of the others were spools.

Thoughtful gifts from everyone! I can feel the love... and the spools.

I need to catch up, havent been picking at all for weeks now as I discovered the world of push key and lever locks. Its my new obsession lol.

That burg cut away is just fantastic. The machining is top class very very nice I just cant stop drooling.

Oldfast, I too love when people go on vacation and they do too because its always so easy for them to get a gift for me. No need to worry about sizes or styles cause any lock will fit well :)

Very nice locks and picking work everyone.

Oldfast, that WB is not restricted...try an M1 blank, it should work!

Warding's on the wrong side for an M1. An M4 slides in alright...
but I can't bring myself to put a master key with an old WB. LOL

Prolly just set it in the collection keyless for now. Besides, if I do
any impressioning... it'll be with your locks! Plenty to be had yet.

One lock fits all! Ha! So true.
I've been told I'm extremely difficult to buy for. Often times people will just give me $ instead.
But yeah, even the junkiest, shittiest old lock can bring me joy. It really doesn't take much. lol

Exactly!!! MY entire family knows that they have to stop at every yard sale, flea market or garage sale and ask if they have locks or keys for me :)

I was sitting in my car with this lock waiting for the Wife.
I didn't have my normal pick set, but I had my "007 Card set" in my wallet... 10min later

this cheap set has now opened a Best, an Abus and now an American padlock.

Nice job,
I always have looked at those credit card picks as a novelty.
Looks like the joke is on the locks you've picked with them.
I like how small they are. Great for EDC.

Just goes to show, it's not the pick, it's the picker.

No key, no problem. Should I test this one with an angle grinder Jeff?

Great job, Flywheel! Here's my play of the day...

Was given a nice handleset...

Because it had an even nicer surprise...

P.S. - If any of you happen to have a couple different keys for this keyway that you can part with, please send me a PM so I can rekey the core and have a working Keymark in my collection. Also up for trade offers on the handleset itself (without the core).
