The Abloy tool looks very interesting. It would be nice to get a close up look at it or perhaps buy one.
I think that it would work on a standard lock and not just a cutaway. The little red line seems to be more for the purposes of the video rather than providing any help to the picker.
So is it just a series of little pins in that shaft ? When the tool is put in and pulled out of the lock, the pins don't seem symmetrical on each side.
Could it be that when the disc blocker is engaged, the discs that are not set somehow provide some feedback to change the pins in the tool ? Then when the tension is released and reapplied perhaps a few of the discs are closer to being set properly ? Once the discs are properly set, they must provide different feed back then not properly set disks so those pins don't move..
