Disklock Pro Code & Cut

Hello,

I was given a padlock with a handmade key but I think my handmade key is about to die.
Here is the picture of the original key (doesnt exist anymore) :

Image

Two years ago I met someone which had good knowledge and he gave me the following informations, telling me these could help me in case of my handmade replica would die :

Image

I try to understand but I don't, it looks that I need a code to get a new Key from, but if you look at the downside part of the picture I got 3 codes :

- First line is the cutting code (I don't think this can help to get a new key)

But I don't understand what are the second and third codes :

9106777254

and

4527776019

I think one of these is the code I need to get a new key, but how to know which one it is ?

I think that the guy who helped me has determinated the cutting code, and then a second code helped it to find the card code which is the third code but not sure at all.

Do you have any idea ?

Thanks a lot

Re: Disklock Pro Code & Cut

The first row is the actual depths of each cut, from bow to tip.
The second row is the cuts converted to the code, also from bow to tip.
The third row, is the same info, but reversed, from tip to bow. This is what the actual key code would be.

Re: Disklock Pro Code & Cut

Thanks a lot for your help !

So now I just have to find someone which can cut a key from the code right ? And to give him the third row ?

Thanks !

PS : Do you know how he could have find the code from the cuts ? Would like to check if it is right before ordering some.
I thought that he used the chart he let on the picture but I don't understand how.

Re: Disklock Pro Code & Cut

The chart in the picture is not complete. It only shows the cuts for one specific key. This is from a document by Han Fey.
Each digit in the code represents a specific depth cut in that position. So a code ending with 8 will always have a 0 cut closest to the bow.
The Abloy Protec technical manual has the full chart.

Re: Disklock Pro Code & Cut

I can't see the pictures, and so can not see the cuts needed for the key. If you get me the cuts, I can cut you a key. You may need to file the warding on the side of the key to make it fit your specific keyway, but the cuts will be accurate.

Where in the world are you located?

Re: Disklock Pro Code & Cut

Now the pictures are showing up. The problem is that the view is of the side of the key, not the edge. From the edge you can read the key as from the picture.

How about a picture of the edge of your key, even if it is not working well. Maybe we can determine what the cuts should be.

Re: Disklock Pro Code & Cut

There's a couple of decode charts but none for the disklock I have found
So makes ordering keys much harder for most people and
The dedicated machines are a rare find for locksmiths .

Gordon's going to sell us is dedicated machines plans ..so we can build our own one day
Would build one..but don't know how or even where to start on a project like this

I have the dedicated Abloy Disklock/Disklock Pro machine. Also the decode charts.

Just realized that the OP listed the key code from HIS key, not one off the picture he had. The second and third numbers you mentioned are in fact the same number, just reversed. So tip to bow and bow to tip. I'll take another look at the code and key pic and see which is correct. Abloy is read tip to bow.

One of the two numbers is valid, the other one is not. Not going to say which in which on the open forum.

Re: Disklock Pro Code & Cut

Thanks a lot for your answers !
Now I understand things way better !

@Gordon I am in France, would be happy to buy a cut from you if you can cut it,

I will send you a pm with more pictures when I'm back home, I have good quality pictures from the edge.
I could even send you the key I use, which is made from low melting temperature alloy, (which is too soft and brittle for long term use), if the shipping costs are not too expensive.

I understand that I must ward on the side of the key, not a problem I think, would buy 2 or 3 in case I don't succeed

Thanks for your help !
