Re: Stanley Vidmar SL10

So being that these are made by Stanley,(now owned by S&G and a member of the ASSA ABLOY group),
are they readily available in North America like the "24-7 series?
judging from the web it looks that way,but i have never seen these around.
looks like this would be a fantastic lock to learn slider manipulation with.
(add one at a time...)
thanks for the great pictures.

I remember Kokomolock giving me the link to where you could order the locks, I just can't remember what it is. I'm sure he knows. I believe they went for 30-40 bucks or so.
Naaapaalm...sticks to kids...it sticks to the belly and it sticks to the ribs...
See those kids standing by the lake...drop some napalm and watch them bake.

Great breakdown pics kokomo, thank you. It's cool to see old locks with sliders like this. And good job LSA! Sloppy as it may be, I can't imagine it being an easy pick.

Re: Stanley Vidmar SL10

Thank you!

I picked one of these up off eBay a few weeks ago. I found LSA's video, but I've been unable to pick mine yet. Nice to see what the guts look like.

That's the seller I got mine from. If you contact them you can get a cylinder and (single) key for under $30.

Re: Stanley Vidmar SL10

Pics are dead. :(
My neighbor had a big tool chest made by Vidmar (before Stanley bought them?) the thing weighed over 400 pounds! I always liked the keys to it. She told me you could open a top drawer and sit on it without the cabinet tipping! (I wouldn't suggest you try it).
