How do you deal with some tricky paracentric locks?

How do you guys deal with some of the more difficult keyways? Some of the Trioving and Ruko locks are giving me grief, and I haven't been able to open them. Also, I have a Best WB keyway core that I haven't been able to open - it doesn't have horrible bitting or anything, it's just that I lack the skill to open it. I don't think it's for lack of tools either. Do you guys have any hints on how to deal with hard keyways? The Trioving is full of those trampoline pins, I'm sure that's not helping.

For me it's a combination of very short hook and sideways dimple like picking with med hook.

I agree with the sideways dimple like picking, but I use a half diamond with a thin shaft.

I have not played with it in awhile but i still have not got that Best Wb core open that you sent me. dimple pick is a great idea, ill try that.

It really depends on the lock, some locks do require thinking outside of the box and possibly making specific pics but my go-to pick is a Peterson Hook #7. I have it in .015 and .018 and so far it has severed me very well.

If you havent tried that picks, I suggest getting one asap cause apparantely Peterson made this hook in error, their initial hook 7 is not what it is now so once the supplies end, that will be it. That is what I heard and since I really love that pick I ordered a few of each size. I also do believe it because my last order of the 7 arrived a short chubby hook the size of a standard hook with rounded tip, after speaking with them, they confirmed it was an error and after pointing them to their website pic they sent me the right ones.

That video will not help with the REALLY absurd stuff like the WB keyway, but the technique I use in this video (featuring the CISA SP/Abus XP-1 Keyway) may help on lock like that.
