Somehow i think a bit of common sense wouldnt have gone amiss. And if i was that father i think i wouldnt be able to hold back.......totally unnecessary and purely ridiculous and actually embarrasing for the parents and the child. Unreal.

Last time I flew, they made me take my cowboy boots off, I had my laptop also, he told me to put it all on the conveyor, then at the other end, told me not to hide my laptop under my boots?? And talked to my like I am an idiot, like I fly all the time. I have seen the rudeness in all of these TSA people, but never had any major problems.
