Windows DVD maker and Windows Movie Maker work pretty well for most purposes unless you need something more professional than what they do. Or ifun you got a mac.

Re: avi to dvd converter

Glad to share my own experience here:
1)Use Pavtube video converter to transcode AVI files to DVD(.vob)format
2)Use Imgburn to burn .vob to a blank DVD disc

Re: avi to dvd converter

Cool, I didn't know that imgburn did that too... guess I should pay more attention to the apps I use. I just use it to make play discs from my store bought games for my wii. I hate using the original discs for playing games, they just go up on a shelf for safekeeping.

Re: avi to dvd converter

I just saw that someone ported DeVeDe to windows. It's pretty simple, give it a list of avi files and it will burn them to a DVD with a simple menu. If that is all you want you might want to give it a try.
