Custom Door Knocker...

Machined from heat treated 7/16" bronze. Softened brass is what I was after, but when presented the opportunity this seemed to cool. Of course, once I got it in the vice and started feeding it drill bits I felt a little foolish... alot harder than I imagined. Heavier than an Altoid tin full of nickels, and for all intended purposes indestructable. Built to accomodate a variety of full power knocking styles. Here she is in various stages of refinement.

you should talk to uklockpicker, yall could go into business together,, by the way, most guys use a drill press for the outline, then hand files for the refinement. great job!

Thanks! I used a drill press and angle grinder for the outline. Not much hand filing, though it was important to the process. Dremel work mostly. It is rather primitive, but I have the finish smooth enough for the cotton wheel where I've cut. Left a patina on the rest.

10 hours give or take. I have a method worked out so the next one won't take as long... hopefully.

AZ allows anyone to CC or OC guns I think it applies to most weapons.

Awsome work! I'd carry a set all the time if they were legal in the UK. If you've not got a good punch, these would give you a helping hand, nut if you know how to use your fist's, these are devastating weapons. I'd hate to be on the business end of that
