What's your EDC?

Curious what you guys carry for knives. Benchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw, CRKT, and all the others I forgot.

Benchmade 950 Rift for me. Almost at 6 months with no problems.

Wow that's a very nice looking blade. How is the S35VN to sharpen? I heard it was a little easier vs. S30V

Re: What's your EDC?

I want to play. I too am a fan of the butterflies:

IMAG0196.jpg

From top to bottom

Benchmade 9050 AFO - Issued to me by the US Army, my favorite knife, it was free. Carried it on my hip for 15 years whie in unifom been to the desert 5 times and all over the world with me.
Benchmade Infidel - New this year replaced the 9050 as my goto work knife on my hip. I do a lot more in gloves now and needed something I could open and close with gloves on
Benchmade 790 Subrosa - Titanium handle S30V steel got it used on eBay for 60 bucks, it's also a first production model it's my tight pocket/shorts/dress cloths EDC the previous owner beat it up but it's an awesome knife
Benchmade 580 Barrage - this is my civilian clothes EDC right now also an eBay find for 70 bucks, love this little one.

I could go on all day with all the knives I've carried in my life, I love them, collect them, repair them, sell them. Not the best picture a quick snap with my cell phone, not in the mood for good pictures today.

Not hard if you're using the right materials to sharpen it. I plan on sending in our blades to a YT sharpener and getting them both re profiled and have a micro bevel added as well. After that, a Spyderco Sharpmaker will be more than enough to maintain that razors edge. (I do not hand sharpen, as I could never keep that bevel as perfect as I want it)

Got my infidel for a 325, my wife works at a knife shop and I got a huge discount, only reason I bought it. Was looking at the Pagan as well but something about the infidel I liked it more. I've got a bunch more benchmades in my drawer, few fixed blades and hunting knives. I've got a whole thread on a few of my knives I've tripled my collection in the past 6 months off of eBay working with a lot of old(pre 1940-1980s) knives too I like bringing them back to life and holding a piece of history. I bought the subrosa on a whim one night, guy was asking way to low, thought it would be fake or something but I got it, very happy with it, my first assisted open though why would I ever need that, now I'm like Freaking Awesome Yo. Got me ramped up to start my own small business seeing the turn around on used stuff like that. There will always be a need for knives and if taken care of they don't lose value as much as other things out there.

I'll play too.

Not my everyday carry but one hell of a butterfly.

The Rukus. Ten inches overall.

Re: What's your EDC?

You folks have great taste in knives. A bit off topic but I recommend getting a hook for your vehicle. This one came in the mail, an ebay find for $10. They are usually $15. I can attach it to the molle on my chest rig too.
