Well since everyone else is playing show and tell I thought I would, these are just a few of mine I have way to many to take pictures of, these are some of my better ones that aren't just display or "cool" knives. I'm a little partial to SOG knives they are inexpensive and well built for the price. Benchmade are my favorites by far but a little pricey. The swiss army knife I got for a birthday when I was 14 I think and I carried it for many years it's beat the hell up but it's a real quality knife. The benchmade 9050 Auto was issued to me in 2000/2001ish and I've carried it in uniform ever since it's been by my side on multiple deployments and as you can see has been used the hell out of. most of the rest of them are relatively new. At one point I had well over 100 knives but during this last move some of my collectables were stolen out of the moving truck. I've got some cheapos and knock offs as well but as I said it would be a lengthy post. I've got an awesome Gerber LMF II as well but it is attached to my kit and I don't want to remove it.

If memory serves me the SOG Fast Hawks are modeled on the Vietnam tactical tomahawk used in the Vietnam war by American soldiers and designed by Peter LaGana.

There are a lot of companies (like Cold Steel etc.) now making similar "Hawks".

A fearsome weapon (and handy tool) and I'm jealous of your beautiful SOGs.

I'd love to see some more of your collection.

The fasthawks can be found for 20 bucks at walmart they are not a 20 dollar hawk they are worth every penny, even for Chinese crap lol.

That's why I'm jealous.

I live in a land where it is illegal to sell a kitchen knife to anyone under 18.

I once had a knife I purchased from the US - 2 inch sheeps foot blade - confiscated by Dep. of Public Safety (part of Customs)????

The same knife is available for purchase is sports stores here !!!! and it wasn't worth the hassle (and expense) to go through the process of getting it back, so I just bought the same knife from a shop here.

I even told this to the person who confiscated it. Like talking to a door knob.

BUT HEY -- at least the public is now safe from an old man running amuck with a two inch knife without a point.

Since some of you asked for more I'll try not the best day for photos I'm not feeling it. Couple of them are messed up due to blacking out the SN kinda distracts from the photo Ok Photobucket sucks for editing photos, I had to black out serials but they didn't take, so I had to edit the picture re upload and re link what a PITA, watch your pics before they go up for SNs on firearms, just in case.

Looked this up once, had to do with El Salvador's independence it was some commemorative blade no real info on it. Couple forums argued it was 1900ish blade others say it's modern day, I think it's modern day...




Old Gerber found on the side of the road 15 years ago or so the rubber handle has since worn off was my EDC for many years, it's the reason I love Gerbers.

Very cool WS. I'm actually considering getting a Ruger SR22 as my first handgun. Maybe I should talk to you a bit before I make my first purchase.

My newest Butterfly - Benchmade Adamas fixed blade.

I have one that's just about identical to it that I bought in the mid 80s when I lived down there. Only real difference I can see is the sheath on mine is dyed reddish brown instead of black. It was new production at the time so if I had to guess I'd say they probably haven't been making identical commemorative models for over a century. I really couldn't say for sure how old yours is though. Weirder things have happened.

You are probably right when I looked it up the machete style itself, name and model were made back then, so this is probably made around your thought and same name and model, it don't look that old that's for sure, it is still pretty except the chip in it got it for replacing a hard drive and putting on an operating system, woulda done it for free but he insisted said it ain't right getting stuff done for free.

$10 Flea Market find - back has initials and troop number engraved but other wise great little knife. Made In Imperial R.I. USA, can't beat 10 bucks for a US made knife.
