Finally introducing myself

Hello everyone,

My name is Adrian Weber and I am from Germany. I am a student for secondary education and give tutoring lessons for the Schülerhilfe here in Germany. Therefore I need to have a clean criminal record. I have recently failed in an important test at university and also had some minor health issues. That is the reason why I had time concentrating on my security hobby. I want to get back to University to continue my subject as soon as possible but would also like to work full time in the security business. So if an opportunity shows up I will definitely take it!

I have started a small business as a security Adviser this year and have done several Seminars with the VDS here in Cologne. The Seminars I have done were the following:

• Security - Technical Cycle (with CFPA certificate)
• Security – Management Cycle (with CFPA certificate)
• Additional Seminar for Safes, Vaults and ATM’s (safes/lock standards and regulations, visiting the test labs etc.)

I had few but very interesting jobs so far. I mainly operate as an adviser so I take care that things are getting done they way they should be done. I also make sure that only certified companies do the work that needs to be done (housing security as an example). I will however not get into details on the jobs I have done so far. The privacy of my customers is most important to me. I only film, picture or show stuff if I am allowed to do it.

I have a YouTube channel where I specialise on showing and reviewing security products. Also showing possible weaknesses and details I have discovered on certain security products. I also did several reviews on padlocks either for the company or for personal interest. I always try to maintain a good contact to the companies. Security reviews I have done this year:

• Commando Lock review and suggestions along with finding a possible weakness (not verified yet) and an issue that they are already working on
• Review of the Tokoz Pro system along with suggestions what they could improve on their system
• Found a weakness in a padlock of a big company waiting on response and sent the whole review to them

Why did I come here?
I wanted to have interesting conversations and to extend my knowledge :)
I had a great time here so far and look forward to continue like that! I am interested in Locks an especially safes since I am 6 years old and also collect padlocks since then. I would like to collect safes but they are just too heavy and to expensive for me so I concentrated on smaller stuff. I love old books on safes and security.

Re: Finally introducing myself

Hey Adrian. I'm also trying to keep my record squeaky clean. I've got some opportunities including buying a local tavern so I don't want something stupid to ruin it for me.

Do you have videos of any of your seminars online? Can you post the link to your youtube channel?

I decided to be a teacher after my very positive experience as a tutor for the Schülerhilfe and also for one year as a substitute teacher.
