Hello for North Western USA!

Not much into the picking side (yet) but more facinated with the mechanics of locks.

When I was about 12, I ripped apart a Schalage deadbolt, didn't know how to put it back the springs together. Since then I have bought my house, and buying locks off ebay, and have learned to re-key them trying to save soem bucks. Have since been picking up various pining kits, cutters, and blanks as a I go along.

Now to learn from others how it done!

Welcome to the site :) there is tons of knowledge to be found here. check out the locks section lots of break downs and cut aways.

also once you get into picking check out the sponsors pages, pick up a set of sparrows or petersons, they make awesome picks that should last you a long time.

Re: Hello for North Western USA!

Welcome from Cleveland. I am not a great picker myself but I love taking locks apart, rekeying, etc. I've been collecting locks for several years and I really enjoy it!
femurat: They're called restricted for a reason...
Innerpicked: The more keys you carry, the more important you look
GWiens2001: Great video! Learned a lot about what fun can be had with a forklift and a chainsaw.
pmaxey83: but i first have to submit the proper forms for a new hobby to my wife
