I wonder what sort of things are not clicking between you and the owner. Do you have to divide some property with the owner where there is an issue?

This forum is wonderful place of information coming from very helpful professionals some of whom have spent their whole life learning.

If you stay And involve your self no one will care about this misunderstanding. It would show good character to shrug off The warning . Some times the owners have call people out a bit to see if they are here for the right reasons. I think that what happened here any way do as you please

Not saying that's what happened here, but you have to remember owners and mods are people, too. Sometimes they may be having a shitty day or something may set them off that normally wouldn't. If you feel you were treated unfairly, be polite and give everyone a little time to back away from the situation and calm down.

I don't think he really wants to be part of the community. From what little I've read, it seems like he just wants to sell his tools, then be done with it.

I'm not sure if this forum can delete accounts (some can, some can't), but if the OP wants to leave - it's as easy as deleting the bookmarks and never coming back.

Eh? Did they forget to give you a contributor tag? Or are you referring to your attempt at selling your tools? If it's the tools then that is hardly what I call a donation, it's called a sale. And to a member, not the site. The site which has a forum setup just for this sort of thing and a community that uses it, technically they're donating to you.

For those who posted in this thread to try to calm down OP and smooth things over, here's the situation.

In short, this member was banned from lp101 then came here to try to sell some tools.

He got testy with me over a site glitch which wasn't resolved fast enough to suit him.
I called him out for his attitude and for being less-than-honest about the situation when he made his complaint.
Admittely the tone if my post was mildly testy as well, but he's the one who opened that can of worms, so IMHO he had it coming.

He did make a donation to the site, apparently to try to make a phony attempt to boost his credibility.

He donated a penny.

Yes, he actually went through the bother to go through paypal and donate one cent. If he wants to call that a "nice donation" then so be it. That's his prerogative.

In any case, he wouldn't let the issue drop so he's banned now.
It's a dead issue and we can move on to more productive pursuits.
